Mellisa sat on Big Red's bed waiting for him to bring them something to drink. He walked in and handed her a coke. "Thanks," she said opening it. Big Red, on the other hand, sat his down on a table. He was being oddly serious. "What'd you need to talk to me about?" she asked. "Brian," Big Red said simply. "Want to explain?" she asked. "Brian found out that Blaine really is Blake, his dad, and he thinks that the only reason he must be back is to do further damage to his mom. Brian's gonna meet him at a bar tomorrow night. I didn't know if you'd want to talk to him or something because I know all Brian wants is trouble," Big Red said. "I can talk to him about it, but, Big Red, Brian's stubborn especially when it comes to his mom. I don't know if he'll listen to me," Mellisa said. "Yeah, I know. I just can't let him go to some dingy bar and get in a fight with his dad," Big Red said forcefully. "Big Red, Brian's a big boy. I know you're only trying to do the right thing, but you can't tell him what to do. If he wants to fight Blake, let him." "What?" Big Red said. "Mellisa, I thought you of all people would be the last to say that. He could get hurt, don't you understand?" "I do. I really do. I also understand that I can't make him do anything he doesn't choose to do. Brian's always had hard feelings toward his dad. You can't expect those to disappear. They're going to fight. It's just what Brian's gonna do," Mellisa said standing up. "I know," Big Red agreed. "I just feel like he's always been there for me and I have an obligation to try and help him but he doesn't want me there." "I understand why you want to help him, but this is one battle you can't fight for him. I trust Brian and I trust everything will turn out alright. He's gonna do what he thinks is best." "Yeah, but hopefully that doesn't involve killing Blake," Big Red said laughing. "Thanks for telling me about this, Big Red. I really appreciate that you're worried about him, but he'll be fine, okay?" Big Red nodded, "Just talk to him though?" Mellisa smiled, "I will."
