Mellisa and Brian are lying in his bed. She played with a string attached to the comforter while he rubbed his fingers up her arm. She tried to ignore the tingling sensation flowing all through her body simply at his touch. "Look at me, Mellisa," Brian said. Mellisa let go of the string and reluctantly looked up at him. He smiled at her and Mellisa felt herself melting into a puddle of goo. "Why do you have to be so hard to resist?" "One of my many endearing qualities, I suppose." Mellisa smiled at him. She had known it would be a bad idea to come over. She knew that she'd never be able to resist him. It was too hard and he was just too charming. She didn't see how any girl was able to resist him. She just knew the last thing she honestly needed was a relationship. Mellisa noticed that her eyes had once again wandered from his face. It was in her poor attempt to resist him. So far, it was working absolutely none. He kissed her neck and Mellisa instantly was at his will. He had the most amazing effect on her. He was truly her weakness and as soon as he touched her, all her willpower dissolved into nothing but submission. He was kissing her slowly and meaningly, as if she were the only girl in the world who mattered. The thing that scared her was the fact that she believed it when she knew that just a couple nights ago, he'd been in the same bed with her best friend. The thought made her instantly repel from him. "I can't do this, Brian," she told him, holding her arms out to his chest to stop him. "What's wrong?" he asked her. "It's nothing," she instantly replied. "Yes, it is or you wouldn't have stopped." "Brian, you were with Lauren in this very bed just a few nights ago, kissing her. How do you expect to me feel about being in the same position?" "Oh, that's what this is about?" "I'm not ready for a relationship and--" Brian stopped her, "I'm not asking for a relationship." He rubbed his hands through her hair. Mellisa turned away, "I'm going to sleep, okay?" He laughed, "Whatever you say." Mellisa did, indeed, go to sleep. She woke up the next morning and Brian was pulling on his pants, getting ready for work. "Morning, beautiful," he said. Mellisa groaned groggily and sat up, "Did you sleep well?" "I'd have rather neither of us had, but yes." Mellisa smiled and got up. She walked over to him slowly and wrapped her arms around him, "You can get a kiss before you go to work." He laughed, "How thoughtful of you." She stood on her tiptoes and gave him a long kiss on the lips. Brian wrapped his arm loosely around her waist just as she pulled out. "Ugh, you're just going to tease me like that?" "I'm not teasing you. I gave you a kiss." Mellisa laughed. "Yes, you are teasing me and you know it." "What do you want, me to throw you down onto the bed?" Brian shrugged, "That would be nice." Mellisa rolled her eyes. "I'm going to the bathroom," she said, already heading into the room. Brian smiled once she was in the other room and finished getting dressed by putting on a shirt. Mellisa came back out. "One last kiss before I leave?" he asked. Mellisa nodded. This time, Brian was the one who started the kiss and he let it go much longer than the first one. Finally, he pulled away and smiled, "I guess that'll have to last for the day. You can get on your clothes and then leave. I'm sorry I can't stay." Mellisa nodded and Brian walked out of the room, eventually leaving the apartment. She quickly pulled on her clothes and brushed her teeth with his toothbrush. She threw her hair into a quick ponytail. She was about to leave when she glanced at his computer. She chided herself for being so foolish. This was not her. She would not snoop through his computer. She grabbed up her purse and took one last look at the computer before finally leaving and proving to herself that she was not and never would be the jealous type.
