Brian was picking Lauren up. He got her into his car and then gave her a blindfold. "Put it on. This is a surprise," he said. Lauren examined the blindfold. It was pink and made of a foam that went around your eyes. When Lauren put it on there was no way she could possibly peek. "I can't see anything at all. It's like being blind," Lauren said. "Hence, the name "blind"fold." Lauren laughed, "Where are you taking me?" "You really don't listen, do you? I said it was a surprise," Brian told her. Lauren tried to shoot him a glare, but that was useless with the blindfold on. "If I could see you right now, I'd be giving you a look of death." Brian just laughed, "Too bad, you can't."

After about ten more minutes of driving, Brian stopped the car. Lauren smiled, "Can I take off the blindfold?" "No." "What? Why?" Lauren asked. She'd been expecting to take it off as soon as possible. She didn't like all the darkness. She missed seeing stuff. "Because it's still a surprise. We're not there yet," he told her. "But you killed the car." "We can't drive any further. We have to walk the rest of the way." "Me? Walk? With this on? How?" "I'm going to help you, okay? It's not going to be that hard," Brian said.

Finally, after much stumbling and whining, Lauren and Brian made it to their destination. He grabbed her hand and led her up a few steps. He let her stand there for a while before he took off her blindfold. Brian took off the blindfold and Lauren screamed. "Oh my god! We're on a boat!" "Yes, we are," Brian said smiling happily. Lauren hugged him, "This is so totally awesome." "Glad you agree," he said.
