the hudson life. part 2.
Mellisa and Mark had arranged to meet at a hotel in Jackson. They had both just arrived and were looking around their room. "Does this ever feel wrong to you?" he asked. Mellisa sighed, "Sometimes, but then I can't help but like it." "Me too," Mark said, walking into the bedroom. Mellisa followed him. "Bed looks fluffy," she said. "Let's try it out," Mark said, smiling playfully. Mellisa smiled and she knew he wasn't thinking about what most people would be, he was thinking about another kind of trying it out. They both jumped onto the bed at the same time and started bouncing. Mark hit his head on the ceiling after some time and fell down, grabbing his head dramatically. Mellisa laughed and fell down too, panting. She kissed his forehead. "All better?" He nodded, running his hands through her hair. "Want to check out the fridge?" he asked. Mellisa couldn't help but laugh. "Of course, I do. I mean, I'm the pig of all pigs. You know I want to check out the fridge." "I'll race you to it," Mark said, running to get a head start. "Not fair! You cheated!" Mellisa said once they'd reached the fridge. "It is too fair." She rolled her eyes, "The rich guy always wins." Mark sighed dramatically, "And the poor girl always loses." She hit him in the arm and they burst into uncontrollable laughter. "Whatever, that's so not me," she said. "Whatever, that's so not me," Mark mimicked, in an extremely squeaky voice. "Stop it!" she said, grabbing a pillow of the couch and hitting him. "Ouch, that hurt. Oh, you will get it for that," he said, grabbing his own pillow and attacking her with it. She started running for the bedroom, just trying to block his strikes. Finally, she reached the bed and fell out. Mark climbed on top of her and hit the bed, counting to five and officially declaring himself the winner. "Okay, you win," Mellisa said panting and laughing at the same time. "Like I said, the poor girl always loses." "And like I said, the rich guy always wins," Mellisa said. Mark rolled off of her and they both lay there in silence, getting their breathing back to normal. "That was fun," Mark said finally. "That was definitely fun." Again, they let the silence overwhelm them. Mark sighed, "What time is it?" "Uhm," Mellisa checked her phone, "It's 11:48."
